Rooted In A Legacy Of Care

Who We Are

The Village of St. Edward has served families across Greater Akron since 1964, when we first opened our doors with a simple purpose: to care for others with dignity, compassion, and respect. That legacy, rooted in the Dominican Sisters, continues today across our four communities, guiding how we care for residents, support families, and treat one another as members of the same extended family.

What Guides Us Mission & Values

The Village supports and enriches lives with compassionate, Christ-centered care delivered by people who know our residents personally. As a not-for-profit organization, we put people ahead of profits, and we never ask a resident to leave, even if they outlast their financial resources, because caring for our neighbors with dignity has always been, and will always remain, our purpose.
